Collection: Toto®

We present you an innovative solution in the form of the Toto® automated lateral positioning system.

The Toto® positioning system is designed to keep patients moving by automatically rotating them to a 30-degree lateral position (left or right) or to a supine position at regular intervals throughout the day and night.

To ensure that patients remain free from the risk of pressure-induced tissue damage by ensuring effective pressure redistribution. It also reduces the risks and demands of manual manipulation for caregivers when caring for immobile patients.

Toto® inflates evenly, smoothly and consistently, fully supporting patients from head to toe, preventing the risk of twisting. Even when patients are sleeping, Toto® ensures frequent and regular positioning.

    • The Toto ® positioning system was tested in combination with a highly specialized foam mattress.
    • The Pressure Sensor Mat bed was placed between the user and clinical mattresses.
    • Pressure reading recorded and analyzed demonstrating effective pressure redistribution.
    • The participant had high pressure at the interface on the right shoulder in the initial supine position, before turning to the side.
    • The pressure in the interface was relieved when the air chamber on the right side was inflated, indicating successful pressure redistribution.
    • There was no other detectable increased interface pressure on the Toto® bearing side.

How long does the patient stay on his back between turning to the left and right sides?

Inflation and deflation of the air chambers using the latest pump and platform takes an average of 2.5 minutes, which may vary slightly depending on the patient's weight. There is no lag time when switching between the left and right sides - as soon as the left air chamber begins to deflate, the right one begins to inflate simultaneously.

This allows the patient to be turned smoothly without having to rest on their back.
