More information about Clisodine products

How does a wound heal?

Wound healing is a complex and dynamic process that ideally leads to the restoration of anatomical continuity and function.

The process begins at the moment of injury and can take months or years to heal. The wound healing process can be divided into three phases:

(1) inflammatory, (2) proliferation and (3) remodeling.

These three processes are carried out automatically by the personal immune system, which has no problems with its immune system.

This means that any wound that is kept clean and moist will heal spontaneously over time.

What is Clisodine solution used for?

Clisodine is used to disinfect and protect the skin or mucous membranes in the event of minor injuries, abrasions, bites, burns or before medical procedures. It helps prevent infection by destroying bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms, and creates a protective film that promotes safe healing.

What does it mean that Clisodine solution has an antiseptic effect?

The antiseptic effect means that Clisodine helps to destroy harmful microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi and others) directly on the skin or mucous membranes. It is used, for example, in the treatment of minor wounds, abrasions or before medical procedures to prevent infection. At the same time, it creates a protective film and promotes clean healing without complications.

How is Clisodine applied correctly?

Apply the solution directly to the skin or with a clean cloth. Allow to dry and cover with a bandage if necessary. Approximately 5 ml of solution is sufficient for an area of 15 x 15 cm.

Can Clisodine be used in children?

Yes, Clisodine is also suitable for children. When using on young children*, we recommend consulting a doctor, especially when applying repeatedly or treating larger areas.

*Not intended for children under 6 months.

Can the solution be used repeatedly?

Yes, you can use Clisodine repeatedly as needed. However, it is important to monitor the condition of the skin or wound - if there is no improvement or irritation occurs, see a doctor.

Can Clisodine solution stain skin or clothing?

Yes, the solution contains iodine, which may temporarily discolor the skin. This discoloration is normal and will disappear on its own. However, be careful not to let it come into contact with fabrics - it may leave permanent stains.

Is it necessary to cover the wound with a bandage after application?

It is not necessary, but for deeper or mechanically stressed wounds, covering with a sterile dressing is recommended. Clisodine forms a protective film on the skin, which can be left loose or covered as needed.

How long does Clisodine last after opening?

After opening, keep the bottle tightly closed at room temperature, out of reach of light and children. Use within 6 months of opening unless otherwise stated on the packaging.
