Simple but clinically effective
Simple but clinically effective
Healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and prevention of leg ulcers often face time constraints, resource shortages, and increasing budgetary pressures, which can impact patient outcomes.
Repose® is a range of reactive air surfaces for redistribution and pressure reduction with a high level of immersion in the surrounding environment.
Repose® consists of interconnected polyurethane film membranes that are filled with air.
The combination of air cells, polyurethane film and pump with Smart Valve Technology has been clinically proven to be effective in providing significant benefits to patients, thanks to optimal pressure redistribution through immersion and body contouring, as well as exceptional comfort.
Unlike other static air products and dynamic systems, the Repose system reduces maximum and average pressure through a combination of air and an extremely elastic polyurethane film. This ensures maximum pressure redistribution over the largest possible area and minimizes shear forces.
Air has no shape memory or creates reaction forces on the body when subjected to pressure or when the patient moves.
The air in the interconnected cells of the Repose® system instantly responds to any change in the patient's position, adapting them to a new comfortable position, without the need for adjustment.

Partial thickness loss of the dermis manifesting as a shallow open ulcer with a reddish-pink base, without scaling. It may also present as an intact or open/ruptured serum-filled blister.
-
Category 3: Full-thickness skin loss
Full-thickness tissue loss. Subcutaneous fat may be visible, but bone, tendons, or muscles are not exposed. Yellow pus may be present, but does not obscure the depth of tissue loss. May include undermining and tunneling.
-
Category 4: Full-thickness tissue loss
Full-thickness tissue loss with exposed bone, tendon, or muscle. Yellow pus or eschar (a piece of dead tissue) may be present in some parts of the wound bed. Often involves undermining and tunneling.
-
Unstaging/Unstable: Depth unknown
Full-thickness tissue loss, in which the base of the ulcer is covered with pale, brown, gray, green or brown and/or slough (brown or black) at the base of the wound.
